Ambuja Neotia Confirms Taratala Hospital: First Multispecialty Facility in Kolkata
Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited's ambitious growth roadmap encompasses the development of its first multispecialty hospital in Kolkata, positioned as a cornerstone in the group's broader healthcare expansion across Eastern India.
The facility is upcoming at Taratala, Kolkata, as part of Ambuja Neotia's established network that includes Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centres across West Bengal and Assam, and Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital in Siliguri.
A Decade-Long Healthcare Presence Accelerating
ANHVL was incorporated in February 2007 by the Ambuja Neotia group of Kolkata and started operations of its 168-bed hospital in Siliguri from October 2012 under the brand name Neotia Getwel Healthcare Centre, spread over 3.18 acres. That facility has since expanded and now serves a cross-border patient base.
Today, Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited operates a growing network of healthcare institutions across Eastern and North-Eastern India, with Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centres in Kolkata, New Town and Guwahati establishing themselves as leading destinations for specialised women and child healthcare.
Building a 2,500-Bed Network
Aligned with its long-term vision, ANHVL is working towards building a 2,500-bed healthcare network across Eastern India. The Ambuja Neotia Group is set to invest nearly INR 2,000 Cr to expand its healthcare footprint across East India, with the expansion funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt, marking a significant push to increase the group's hospital bed capacity from 500 to over 2,000 in the next three to four years.
The expansion includes a new hospital in Guwahati and a pediatric multi-specialty unit in Kolkata, both slated to open in the coming months. Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited has received investment approval from the Government of Assam for the development of a 300-bed multi-speciality hospital, reaffirming the Group's long-term commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the Northeast.
