Ambuja Neotia Unveils Advanced Paediatric Centre in New Town

Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre has unveiled its new Centre for Paediatric Multispecialty in New Town, Kolkata, inaugurated by Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of the Ambuja Neotia Group, marking a major expansion of the hospital's capabilities with total bed capacity now at 220.

Clinical Infrastructure and Subspecialties

The facility includes a paediatric catheterisation laboratory, dedicated paediatric cardiac surgery operation theatre, paediatric dialysis unit, NICU, PICU, and advanced child-specific diagnostic equipment, including a 160-slice CT scanner and 1.5 Tesla MRI. The centre is intended to provide specialised care for children with congenital heart diseases, neurological disorders, and kidney-related conditions.

The hospital now offers 16 dedicated paediatric specialities under one roof—making external referrals unnecessary for most complex conditions. Neotia Bhagirathi New Town Hospital is the only hospital in eastern India with 16 sub-speciality paediatric departments staffed by fellowship-trained paediatric specialists rather than general paediatricians.

The facility is located at Action Area 1D, New Town, Kolkata 700156, adjacent to the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The hospital is approximately 2.97 kilometres from Salt Lake Sector V Metro Station.
