Ambuja Taj Branded Villas Raichak—New Luxury Project Announced

Ambuja Neotia Group and Taj Hotels' parent company (Indian Hotels Company Limited, IHCL) signed an agreement on July 21, 2025 for new hospitality properties. Among the projects is a Taj-branded villas property at Raichak, adding to the developer's existing portfolio in the area.

Location and Context

Raichak is located in South 24 Parganas district, in the Diamond Harbour II block of West Bengal. The locality lies 50 km south of Kolkata, approximately 90 minutes' drive from the city. Ambuja Neotia previously developed Ffort Raichak, described as Kolkata's first luxury weekend getaway, and Ganga Kutir resort also operates in Raichak.

The Taj Partnership

The 15 new properties in the partnership are spread across West Bengal, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh, and comprise a mix of greenfield, brownfield and conversion projects. The projects are expected to be completed over the next three to seven years. Taj-branded villas are included at select locations, including Darjeeling, Sikkim, Lataguri and Raichak.
